Chevalier acknowledges her debt to Simon Schama';s classic study of the Dutch Golden Age, The Embarrassment of Riches, and the novel comes hard on the heels of Deborah Moggach';s similar tale of domestic intrigue behind the easel of 17th-century Dutch painting, Tulip Fever.

My favourite book. I picked this book up because I liked the cover. It is unusual but pulls you in and keeps you interested. The book is a kind of love story but the couple dn';t get to meet until the last couple of chapters.
and don';t read the chinese version, it is terrible!

A marvelous book! It is seprated into 3 parts. The first two parts are better than the third one. Talks about things that happened when Starbucks was still a small company while the third tells after Starbucks going public. Go to a Starbucks and read this book. It will be enjoyable
