Leadership the Sven-Göran Eriksson Way examines the leadership style of the England football manager Sven-Göran Eriksson. Our argument is that Eriksson¡¯s approach is important because it brilliantly exemplifies a new leadership which defies conventional and historical stereotypes of how leaders think and behave. Eriksson is a not a tub-thumping bellower of orders. He is no dictator. Instead, he is a modern leadership archetype, a leader we can all learn from.
From Leadership the Sven-Göran Eriksson Way

This is a book that now I am reading. If you love England football team, I strongly recommend you to read it. Though it is about leadership yet at least you will know how they run the team and how the coach works.

The Dutch painter Vermeer has remained one of the great enigmas of 17th-century Dutch art. While little is known of his personal life, his extraordinary paintings of natural and domestic life, with their subtle play of light and colour, have come to define the Dutch Golden Age. The mysterious portrait of the anonymous Girl with a Pearl Earring has fascinated art historians for centuries, and it is this magnetic painting that lies at the heart of Tracy Chevalier';s second novel of the same title.
Girl with a Pearl Earring centres on Vermeer';s prosperous household in Delft in the 1660s. The appointment of the quiet, perceptive heroine of the novel, the servant Griet, gradually throws the household into turmoil as Vermeer and Griet become increasingly intimate, an increasingly tense situation that culminates in her working for Vermeer as his assistant, and ultimately sitting for him as a model. Chevalier deliberately cultivates a limpid, painstakingly observed style in homage to Vermeer, and the complex domestic tensions of the Vermeer household are vividly evoked, from the jealous, vain, young wife to the wise, taciturn mother-in-law. At times the relationship between servant and master seems a little anachronistic, but Girl with a Pearl Earring does contain a final delicious twist in its tail. Chevalier acknowledges her debt to Simon Schama';s classic study of the Dutch Golden Age, The Embarrassment of Riches, and the novel comes hard on the heels of Deborah Moggach';s similar tale of domestic intrigue behind the easel of 17th-century Dutch painting, Tulip Fever.
Girl with a Pearl Earring is a fascinating piece of speculative historical fiction, but how much more can novelists extract from the Dutch Golden Age?

A soldier wounded in the Civil War, Inman turns his back on the carnage of the battlefield and begins the treacherous journey to Cold Mountain, and to Ada, the woman he loved before the war began. Whilst Ada struggles to make a living from the land. Neither knows if the other is still alive.
As Inman attempts to make his way across the mountains, through the devastated landscape of a soon-to-e-defeated South, Ada struggles to make a living from the land her once-wealthy father left when he died. Neither knows if the other is still alive.
Cold Mountain is an Odysean voyage, encompassing all the human tragedy and waste of war, and a powerful love story. Moving and uplifting, brilliantly written and utterly compelling, Charles Frazier';s first novel is a classic story made fresh by a spectacular talent.
My favourite book. I picked this book up because I liked the cover. It is unusual but pulls you in and keeps you interested. The book is a kind of love story but the couple dn';t get to meet until the last couple of chapters.
and don';t read the chinese version, it is terrible!

The success of Starbucks Coffee Company is one of the most remarkable business stories in decades, growing from a single retail store on Seattle';s waterfront to a company with more than one thousand stores nationwide and a new one opening every business day. Starbucks has effected a fundamental change in American life, turning coffee into a national obsession and establishing the coffee bar as a new fixture of Main Street - a home away from home for millions of Americans. In Pour Your Heart Into It, Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks, shares the passion, values, and inspiration that drive the success of this fascinating company. Schultz gives credit for the growth of Starbucks to a foundation of values seldom found in corporate America - values that place as much importance on the company';s employees as they do on profits, as much attention to creativity as to growth. Schultz tells the story of Starbucks in chapters that illustrate the principles which have made the company enduring, such as "Don';t be threatened by people smarter than you," "Compromise anything but your core values," "Seek to renew yourself even when you are hitting home runs," and, most simply, "Everything matters." For entrepreneurs, marketers, managers, and Starbucks'; loyal customers, Pour Your Heart Into It gets to the heart of a company that, according to Fortune magazine, "has changed everything...from our tastes to our language to the face of Main Street."
A marvelous book! It is seprated into 3 parts. The first two parts are better than the third one. Talks about things that happened when Starbucks was still a small company while the third tells after Starbucks going public. Go to a Starbucks and read this book. It will be enjoyable

i will update if i find more.
