Listening to audiobooks is my way to improve listening, and it works. I know some people prefer movies, which they think to be better. however, I think the images distract your attention from the language, not to mention the help of the Chinese subtitle.

Listening to audiobooks forces you to focus your attention on the sound,which can improve your listening effectively. It has other advantages:

1. Most of the audiobooks (novels, memoirs) are absorbing enoughto keep the listener's interest. This is the audiobooks' great advantage comparing with the boring news.

2. Narration of audiobooks is easy to follow. Speed is usually moderate—not too fast nor slow, and pronunciation is standard and clear.

3. It saves you the time for reading.

Finally, I 'd like to recommend some audiobooks to you.

Harry Potter American version (narrated by Jim Dale)
really brilliant, Jim Dale varied his tone to create vivid characters, much better than Stephen Fry (British version)

1984 (narrated by Frank Muller)
a science fiction, thought-provoking

Living History (memoir of Hillary Clinton，narrated by herself)
The narration is fascinating—crystal clear plus attractive voice.

咱图书馆有借的，从来没有借过。听说很好听。就是都排着队借的。

我觉得看动画片也会很有帮助的。

借来听听么，朗诵确实不错
中文版的朗诵让人受不了，装小男生的声音听得我汗毛直竖

动画片也要选好，前些天看一部“南方公园”，里面小孩f*ck不离口
还有更难听的，当时惊呆了，心说美国小孩太强了
后来仔细一看封皮是R级，成人动画。。。:L

这几天看美剧（犯罪现场调查）光注意下面的字幕了啊啊。
真的真的，听力真的需要练习了。
这些翻译真是为中国的盗版事业做出了贡献。。滴汗:L

其实电影是可以看的，主要是不要中文字幕，而是英文的，即练听力，也练读，不是有点一举两得的感觉么？
