I';d like to introduce my dear hometown to you all.
My hometown--Harbin, is a very beautiful city in my eyes. People call it the Ice City as it';s very cold in winter. It used to be a city with many Russians. Even though it has changed now, yet there are still a lot of European buildings left. I think it';s a kind of beautiful scenery in this city.
Of course, the best time to come to Harbin is in winter. Then you can enjoy the World of Ice and Snow. You can also find many people from different places in China come to see it. You can even find a bunch of foreigners there. I';m sure you will enjoy yourself, but remember to wear enough clothes, or you will become an "iceman".
If you are not tired after you visit the World of Ice and Snow, you can go across the Center Street. It';s a walking street and a business street, you can walk slowly in the middle of the street and see the beautiful European buildings on both sides of it. And the KFC and McDonald';s are there to welcome you to have a hot drink. There are also stores selling all kinds of things. Whatever you want to buy, you can find them.
After walking across the Center Street, you can go to the Saint Sophia Church, it';s only about ten minutes'; walk from the Center Street. There are beautiful pictures and you can learn some culture about Harbin. And in summer, the very big fountain there on the square of the church will help you keep cool.
If you have time, another must-see place is the Qiuin Department Store. It has a history of more than one hundred years.
Near the Qiulin Department Store is an old street named the Gogol Street. There is a train in the middle of the street, it';s used for seeing the sights.
Another great place is the Dragon Tower. It';s the highest steel tower in Aisa. If there';s nothing wrong with your heart, you can go and wisit it.
About twenty minutes'; walk away from the Dragon Tower is the Province Meeting and Show Center. It';s such a huge and grand bbuilding that I';m sure when you see it, you must say"Wow, it';s wonderful!"
There';s something on display all the year round. And the ten thousand square kilometers'; large square will allow you run here and there. And if you are interested in science, you can go to the Science and Technology Museum on the other side of the Songhua River, it';s a new building built last year, it';s also a very beautiful and particular building.
If you want to ski, come here. Skiing can make you fit and happy. It can also challenge yourself.
