Life in Australia
LIFE IN AU
I went to Australia with my school in a blaze heart last winter holiday. As my wish, Australia really is a very wonderful country. It is comfortable to live there because of the weather and the environment. She is clean, quiet and colorful. The people there are very kind and friendly. So I make it as my home.
We went to one of the biggest city in AU----Sydney, the capital city----Canberra and the sunshine city----Brisbane.
First we went Sydney and Canberra to go sightseeing. Sydney is a modern city as well as Beijing. I can fell the breath of modern city----busy, fast. Of course, it is not quiet there as our thought of Australia because it is a big city! Not all of this country has small number of people and quiet. I visited Sydney Opera House----the most famous place in AU. It’s beautiful and magic!
Then we went to the capital city----Canberra. As we know, there was a famous and histrionic history about contending the capital in AU: the two biggest cities Melbourne and Sydney contended for being the capital city. So that the government don’t know how to choose. In order to prevent the war, the government made an evenhanded decision: they choose a good place between these two countries, that’s just Canberra. Do you know what is the real meaning of Canberra? It means that ‘a place where people get together’ in the language of aborigines. Then the government felt that this place it is very fit for being capital. In this way, this lucky place became the capital of Australia.
Finally we went to the sunshine city----Brisbane for sightseeing and studying for a long time. We went to ST Paul’s International School to have spoken English class there. Of course, the teachers in the school teach us the classes. Also we have some time for intercommunion with students there. We were divided into several couples and had classes with them. I found that it is more difficult to understand the teacher’s meaning than just live diary life! So if you want to go abroad for studying, you’d better think about are you ready for the class instead of worried about the life there all the time! Because life is easier! There are lots of places of amusement in Brisbane, such as: the Sea World, the Movie World, the Water World and some other pleasure grounds. We went to the Sea World and the Movie World. There are dolphin shows, 4D movie, sea lion show etc in the Sea World. There are police academy, all star parade, Matrix action show and lots of cute goods shops and so on. It really is very interesting and exciting there.
We also went to the zoo. We saw koala, kangaroo and some other AU animals there. They are very lovely!
There is lots of delicious food in AU. I love the ice cream there. It taste sterling so much. It so delicious that you can’t eat enough! So don’t forget to taste some ice cream in you go to Australia. J
Sunshine there is strong----too strong! You know, the sunshine intensity is 40 times more than it is in Beijing! So the most important thing is that you must remember to bring the sun’s cream, or you really can be hurt by the strong sunshine!
This is my feeling and experience in AU. But it’s general and just a little part of my colorful life there. Maybe you can try it yourself! I think that It must be a unforgettable journey in your all life!
