Chapter 1
Oddly enough, I have never felt to like someone before, I’m a cool girl, everything is cool for me, even if someone just been with me only a few hours, they’d describe me with only a word-cold. I’m only a normal girl: not very big eyes, with glasses, black, long, straight hair…. I’m not very popular, but I have my best friends: Shirl and Mel. We’re all best students in our grade, but me, unlike my friends, they’re pretty, and I’m always like ugly duck around them, but I don’t care, I’m cool about everything except study….
But not this time, when I first saw him, my heart stopped, he’s gorgeous! He just simply gorgeous! He got short blonde hair, a bit tall then me, and most of all, his gorgeous smile! But this unexpectedly meet in the mall with him was in August, and I didn’t even know his name….
“Well, that’s like a month ago, I can’t even remember what he looks like now. I think I’ll cool about it now.” I murmured to Shirl.
“Tomorrow it’s the first day return to school, we should focus on our study now, I think your hope’s gone, you don’t even know his name, how old he is, or what school he goes to etc. etc.” said Shirl.
“Well, I guess I just forget about him.” I murmured again.
“Oh, don’t be sad, Ivy, there will be plenty new ones coming tomorrow.” comfort Shirl.
“O.K….”
Last night, I didn’t sleep so well; although Shirl slept like she will never wake up (I was having a sleepover). I’m worried; I worried about the first day back to Junior High, am I going to meet him? My “dream boy”? Well, get off it, I thought, I’m suppose to be cool, right? I’m not as pretty as my friends, they are stunner, but not me, I’m just ordinary, that’s all. Well, just face it. Today’s the day, first day back to Junior High! I’m so excited, we going to study lots of new things, especially for social, that’s my best subject, of course. The sad part is, Mel isn’t in my class, but I got Shirl in my class, at least I’ll have a friend to talk to when I’m alone.
“Ivy! Over here! Come with us!” Mel yelled over me.
“Oh, hi, you guys!” I turned around and joined Mel and Shirl.
“How’s it going?” Mel asked.
“Good. It’s a new year, you know, we got to learn lot’s of more new things.” I said.
“Oh, yeah, it’s going to be exciting.” Shirl beamed.
“What class are you in, Mel?” I asked.
“Oh, well,” Mel sighed. “I’m not as lucky as you guys, have a mate to talk to. I’m in class 2.”
“Don’t worry, Mel. We can meet you during the break and lunch time, to keep you company.” Shirl grinned.
“Yeah,” I added. “We still can have a sleepover or something.”
“Sure, yeah.” Mel still sound unconvinced.
Just then, the school bell rang, we said goodbye to Mel, and hurried into our homeroom.
I took a seat beside Shirl in middle of the class, and then I glanced around the classroom, usual posters: human bodies, star charts, animals, relationships around the world…. What? I saw a man sitting in front of the classroom: half bold, white hair, round glasses, wearing a golf shirt and normal pants, and most of all, his pot, it’s not enormous, but not hard to notice. The point is, who is he? I watched over to Shirl, she seems like noticed that, too.
“Good morning, class! I’m Mr. Kent, I’ll be your math teacher this year.” Someone over my left signed. The man continued. “Is everybody here yet?” He asked.
“Not yet.” A voice answering from the opening door.
Then everybody’s smiling of that answer and turned around, so did I. But, when everybody’s smiling, my heart stopped, and becoming frozen dead.

  以前，我从来没有喜欢过任何人，我只是一个冷淡（注：原为Cool,此词有多重翻译。）的女孩，任何事对我来说都是冷淡的，就算有些人只跟我一起呆了几个小时，他们便会用一个词形容我，冷淡。我只是一个普通的女孩：不是很大的眼睛，带着眼镜，黑色的，长长的直发。我不是很有人缘，但是我有我的好朋友，Shirl 和 Mel。在我们的年级里，我们是最好的朋友，但是我，不像我的朋友们，她们都很漂亮，我总是像一只丑小鸭在她们的周围，但是我不在乎，除了学习之外，我对任何事情都是冷淡的。但是不是这一次，当我第一次见到他时，我的心跳停止了，他是华丽的。他就是简单的华丽。他有着短短的金色头发，比我高一点，但是最突出的，是他那华丽的微笑！但是这次与他在商店里难以预料的的相遇是在八月，我连他的名字都不知道。。。
“那是一个月以前的事了，我已经不记得他的样子了。我觉得我现在已经对此冷淡了。”我对Shirl低声说道。
“哦，不要难过，Ivy,明天会有更丰富的新奇事物等待着你。”Shirl安慰道。
“好吧。”

昨天晚上，我没有睡好。虽然Shirl睡得像她再也不会起来一样（我们的Sleepover.注：Sleepover是通常根别人一起过夜，此处及作者跟她的朋友一起过夜。）。我很担心，我担心返回高中的第一天。我会遇到他吗？我的“梦中男孩”？忘记吧，我这样想到，我应该是冷淡的，不是吗？我没有我的朋友们漂亮，她们是引人注意的，我不是，我只是普通的，就这样。面对事实吧。就是今天，回到高中的第一天！我十分的兴奋，我们会学到很多新的东西，特别是社会，那当然是我最拿手的一门课。但是难过的是，Mel不在我的班里，但是我有Shirl ，当我孤单的时候，至少有个朋友聊天。
“Ivy！这边！过来跟我们一起！”Mel对我喊道。
“哦，你们好！”我转过身来加入了Mel和Shirl。
“过得怎么样？”Mel问道。
“不错。是新的一年，你知道，我们会学习很多新东西。”我说道。
“哦，是的，是将会兴奋的。”Shirl容光焕发的说道。
“你在哪个班里，Mel？”我问道。
“哦。”Mel叹了口气。“我没有你们幸运，有个朋友聊天，我在班级2。”
“不要担心，Mel。我们可以在课间和午餐时间见面，跟你往来。”Shirl露齿而笑。
“是啊。”我补充道。“我们还是可以有Sleepover或者其他什么的。”
“是啊，好吧。”Mel还是一副不确信的样子。
马上，上课铃响了，我们对Mel说了再见，便匆匆进了班里。教室中间，我坐在了Mel旁边，望着班里的四周。 经常的海报，人体模型，星体表格，动物，世界的连接性表格。。。
怎么，我看见一个男人坐在教室的前方，一半淡色的，白色的头发，圆形眼镜，穿着一件高尔夫衬衫和一件普通的裤子，而且，他的盆子（注：此处为Pot,是盆子，器皿的意思吗？）不大，但是不难看到。关键是，他是谁？我望了望Shirl，她似乎也注意到了这一点。
“大家早上好！我是Mr. Kent，我是你们今年的数学老师。”左边，有个人唉悄悄私语。那个男人继续道。“大家都到齐了吗？”他问道。
“还没有。”敞开的门后面，一个声音这样说道。大家听着这个答案，微笑了，都转过身去，我也这样做了。但是，当大家微笑的时候，我的心跳停止了，变成了麻木的冷却。

Well, actually, you see, I don';t know why, but I don';t think that I did a good job on this one, so I don';t know about the wage, I don';t feel right if I take your wage well I did a very awful job like this, I mean, I just don';t think is okay, or you think I did well...

Oh...  Feel kind of better now, is that you really understand me, and that is true that I really have to work on it^0^...
Oh, yeah, forget to tell you, there';s someting wrong with my computer, I may not come here for few days, and translate the chapter is gone(克莱尔：Oh no!!!) cause of my dad was refix the computer, so。。。Anyways, I will translate chapter 2 again, so is not a big deal...  I will come here as fast as the computer is fixed(Hope is gonna be fast^0^)～～

Well, you know what, there';s someting wrong with my computer, the translate of chapter 2 is gone, cause of my dad was refix the computer, but I will translate it again, no big deal^0^～～
