HP7读后感
实在不想写中文了,就用英文代替了~~
All was well.

And that was how J.K. Rowling had ended the decade long saga that everyone loved.

As I was turning the page for more information on how the other heroes had been, I found the big disappointment lodged inside my heart, the decade long of longing, guessing and analyzing what’s going to be happen in the next book had finally ended.

Incredulous as it may sound, I was loathing for more after the painstakingly long read of the book well into the night, and I still have the energy to write up about how I thought of the book, the saga and the time we passed just by trying to think what will Rowling gave to us next.
And just as everyone had predicted, the book was a bloodbath, darker than ever. I couldn’t even count how many good and innocent people had died when I wasn’t even passed the a hundred pages mark. Rowling certainly didn’t take mercy into her hands; she killed off almost every loving character we’ve met in the past six books.

I miss Mad-Eye, the guy who everybody thought was tough, and will never die and always will fight till the end, no one had thought his end had come so early; I miss Dobby, the little free elf that had softened everybody’s heart, he saved Harry numerous times that even Harry couldn’t count just because Harry freed him, I cried so hard when Harry carved those words on his little tombstone, “Here lies Dobby, a free elf.”; I miss Scrimgeour, whose last act had certainly told us the true character inside his unlikable image; I miss Ted Tonks, whose simple act of kindness had warmed my heart; I miss Snape, whose life was devoted to the love of his life and remained loyal to Dumbledore ever since; I miss Lupin and Tonks, their presence had made all the difference in the book and life of Harry. The one I miss the most, is Fred. With him and George together, their wittiness and brilliance was the only single antidote to the dreadfulness ahead of them in the future, their personalities were the only thing that I laughed about in the beginning of the book, but at the same time, they gave out the illusion of how all things will be fine in the end, and that’s also a exceptional trap that had been set by Rowling. God, I miss everyone who died in the book, even the goblins that supported Harry so much.
The book once again showed how gifted Rowling is at telling stories. She used the supposedly old-fashioned good vs. evil conflict and turned it into the all time classic of fantasy. Even though the main idea sounds so much like a Disney movie or a fairy tale from Anderson, that love conquers all, but in this book, she made us to be the true believers, truly believing in what she’s creating. Through twist and turns, our hero always comes through, and it’s like we’re right beside him when he’s in danger, when he’s in pain, we wanted to share that same feeling. And surely, we learned a thing or two over the ten years of reading the seven books. We learned that lust for power will only bring upon destruction on ourselves; we learned that death is nothing to be afraid of, it’s just the beginning of another journey; and we learned the love for our loved ones, really concurs all.

Snape, the only character in the first six books who doesn’t have a clear standing between good and evil, has now come clean and not being a fence-sitter. And I do admit, that I had doubted him to be good and good intentions after that sixth book, but now I have to say sorry, for ever doubted him. Just as Harry said at the end, he’s probably the bravest character I know in the series, besides Harry of course. Snape’s courage was beyond anything that I’d ever imagined, I’d thought his loyalty will ultimately one day waver and went back to his old self. But no, he didn’t, he hold true to his word, out of his life long love for Lily, even at the end, his Patronus was still a doe, the same as Lily’s. And that’s a man I admire. Before he met his fate at the Shrinking Shack, he pleaded with Voldemort to lure Harry to him, but his true purpose was to tell Harry what Dumbledore had told to him, what he really had to do to end it all, he wasn’t pleading to redeem himself over his betrayal years ago, but to do what’s right. He nearly didn’t get to have the chance if Harry didn’t go to the Shrinking Shack, but he did, it’s like fate pushing him to go out from the shadow and kneeling beside him as he pulled his last thoughts for Harry to see, to know the truth that only Dumbledore knew. And I can’t imagine how grateful Harry’s been after knowing Snape had helped him a lot on the way and risked his own life saving him. Perhaps just like what Dumbledore had said, maybe they did indeed started sorting too early, with Snape’s courage and bravery, he might just be fit enough to be in Gryffindor.

As to Harry, Rowling had once again given him human qualities that everybody can relate to, made him seem like he’s just one of us, but she had also given him qualities that set him apart from ordinary people, his courage at seventeen is no one at the same age can compare to. Perhaps it’s just the will of the author of making him so brave, but I still can’t imagine anybody in our age group be as brave as Harry had, it’s simply not possible. From the fifth book and on, we had seen that Harry had really matured from the hormone struck teenager who’s mad at everybody over small things, you could barely sense his anger when he was talking to Dumbledore in the oblivion. He had grown the qualities that I admire in a man; he really had come a long way.

Finally to Dumbledore, the most troubled character in the final book, is actually human, like us. But also because of this, I like him more; he’s no longer the man with all the answers and knew what to do. He also had a troubled youth, and he regretted every part of it when he wasn’t helping his sister and brother. No matter what kind of “truth” had been told, the Dumbledores had been a good family who had been given very bad luck. Dumbledore couldn’t change the past as he wanted to apologize for his mistakes, but later on in life he tried so hard to mend it. A man who admits his mistakes is a man of honor, of valor, and shouldn’t be forgotten. We’re all humans after all, even saints like Dumbledore can make mistakes.
I don’t even know how many times I’ve cried after I learned the death of a loved one, but I cried the hardest when Harry used the Stone to found his mentors and parents back again, right before he faced his death. He need reassurance that he was doing the right thing, as he went back to his kid self just a moment back there, we knew, he’s still just a teenager who’s unsure of himself and what he’s doing, but still, he took it like a man and faced death face-to-face and ultimately completed his mission.

With the changes of hearts in the last book, we could really see that people were good in nature, not like those who are ultimately evil. Dudley’s change of heart and thanked Harry for saving his life; Kreacher’s gratefulness after Harry had given him his old master’s locket; Wormtail’s last act of strangling himself for avoiding killing Harry; Narcissa’s act trying to protect Harry and also her own family. Which are all examples in turn to show Rowling’s final and the utmost important message: love concurs all.

Rowling had given us all these wonderful memories, all these years to remember our heroes. I’m thankful that we have this wonderful writer that we could grow up by reading her books. Now I’m considering changing my name to Kathleen, or add it as my middle name.

To all those good people appeared in the books, including past ones that showed up for the last: Harry, Hermione, the Weasleys, Dumbledore, Snape, Sirius, Lupin, the Tonks, Hagrid, Dobby, Kinsley, Mad-Eye, the teachers at Hogwarts, the current and past students (Neville, Luna, Dean, Seamus, Oliver, Angela…) and Kreacher, to all those people who gave me a wonderful childhood and teenage years to remember by, thank you.

Yes, all was well in the end.

And all will be well in the future.
Thank you all.

Quite sensitive and bittersweet.

I actually feel like that the most realistic part of the book is the ending, when Harry and his friends all grow up and have children. It tells us that every story, every adventure, and every dream has an ending, and when it ends, it's time for us to grow up, learn the lesson, and live on. that is the ultimite truth about life, both fantasy and reality alike. Also the epilogue of the book is the best part to show that the it's not just a children's story, it's about the experiences of life. Overral, Rowling approach the ending in a very mature way.
