这次是一篇论文。。。。。。。。。关于一本书。。。。。。。。。
The Benefits Of Making Movies Based On Books
Over the past few weeks, we read a book in our class called Where the Red Fern Grows. Right after we finished the book, we watched the two movies based on the book. The first movie was shot in the 1970s, and the new one was re-made in 1995. Although the book itself is very detailed and descriptive, the movie is better compared to the book in many ways, such as visualized motion pictures, more perspectives and even the mention of the red fern.
First, the book became visualized from the words to motion pictures. When Billy was on his way to Talequah, the audience sees the majestic mountains covered by dense sycamore forests. I was impressed by the scene where Billy was looking at a creek below him, that’s the time when I felt I was there. After Rubin died, the scene in which the Pritchards and the Colemans had the funeral portrayed that Mrs. Pritchard and Mrs. Coleman has some connections in the past. I noticed the strange expression on both their faces when they looked at each other. The description of stormy night in the book was quiet redundant after Grandpa was found. Where in the movie the director cuts the part after Grandpa was found. I think that this scene held my attention little more than the book did.
Then, I enjoyed the way that other characters expressing their views in the movie, where in the book, we see most of things from Billy’ perspective. For example, when Billy disappeared to pick up the message from Grandpa, his father was surprised by Billy’s enthusiasm. The part where Grandpa fell was shown in the movie. That made the climax of the movie more intense. We get the feeling of Billy, Papa and the judge still don’t know about Grandpa fell. At last, when Billy got his dogs in the book, he overheard the conversation about they will be moving to town few years later when his mother and father was talking. However, in the movie the conversation only appealed to the audience never to Billy. I found more perspectives are better than only one point of view most of time.
Last but not least, the mention of red fern was brought up in both movies very early, whereas in the story it showed up at the moment where Billy saw the red ferns on the grave. I felt a more powerful inspiration when I watched the movies. I also think that Wilson Rawls, the author of this book, should brought up this earlier in the book, because the red fern is in the title. The title is the eye of a story or novel. I was very disappointed at the fact that three-quarter in the book, we still don’t know why it named that way. However, the movies did that well.
In conclusion, although the book is very well written, I think the movies are better in general, whether it’s the visualized motion pictures or character’s point of view or even with the mention of the red fern. Next time when I finished another book, I will be going to Blockbuster to see if there is a movie transformation of the book.
不知道有没有进步?

偶看了~~写的很好很流畅,思路很清楚~~~
再送个精华~~
不过个人认为有时候电影会破坏原作留给读者的想像空间,hp有几部拍的就不好看^ ^
