Chapter1.


“Hey, have you seen the tornado outside on the sea? Wow, that’s marvelous!” Wei jumped and shouted with his finger pointed towards the window.
“Wei, if you have noticed, you are in the middle of a lecture, I think you should sit and listen to the teacher.” Mr Jones said unhappily to Wei because of his interference to his lecture.
“Wow, did you see how they just formed? I’ve only seen that on TV! You really should come here and look at this! You wouldn’t believe this!” Wei just ignored the teacher and continued.
“Wei, for your interference to the lecture, I’ll have to send you out of the classroom.” Mr Jones said unhappily.
“Tornados are my favourite natural disasters, but I’ve never ever thought they gonna appear just beside us, really, it is unbelievable!” Wei said excitedly.
“What have I……” Mr Jones just want to say “What have I just said?” but some other students stopped him,
“Oh my god!!! Sir, I think you really need to see this, and you wouldn’t believe it! There is a tornado just beside us on the sea!” Kelly just shouted and told Mr Jones.
“What the……”
The voice of the headmaster appeared in the school’s announcement just overcome Mr Jones’ voice: “Dear teachers’ and students, without any notice from the weather forecast, we are experiencing tornados on the sea just 10 miles from the school. This is an emergency, and the school has preparations for you. Please calm down.”
“We saw the tornados and tested its speed, it moves very slowly unlike the normal tornados, so it’ll take a day and half, 36 hours to arrive at where we are located if it moves directly towards us. We have the time to escape, but we will also have to be well prepared.”
“Firstly, there are rafts located on the river beside the school, which are enough for all the students and teachers, if you get on by triune. Before that the school will provide a package with your basic needs for every student and teacher. The school had also informed your parents, so please do not worry, and try to escape as far as possible after receiving the schools’ supplies.”
“Finally, please remember that, if one of your friends had left behind, you’ll have to wait for them unless the situation is extremely dangerous. And try to find a place where the bomb shelters locate, and hide yourselves in there. To the school’s prediction, that there will be more and more tornados appear, so try your best to escape the country, and all the best to you. Remember, the more the people there are, the more power you will have, don’t leave your friends for yourselves, we can all survive! Now, good luck to all of you!”
There were people handing over the packages to the students while the whole school were listening to the headmaster’s announcement. Wei checked the package: some food and water, some warm clothes, medicines, a torch, some batteries, matches, waterproof plastic bags for food preservation, a raincoat and a map.
The students in the school are all well trained, so when the announcement is over, nobody panicked, they all leaving the school’s building one after one.
Wei arrived at the river, and found a raft. He climbed on it, and waiting for people to come with him. There was Kelly coming.
“Hey, how are you doing?” Wei smiled and asked.
“I guess you will never feel nervous.” Kelly smiled back.
“I don’t think I ever have that sense in my nerve.” Wei said happily.
“Don’t you ever worry?” Kelly asked with surprise.
“Of course I do, but never worry too much, since too much worry will make our brain unclear, and we do need clear brains to get us out of danger.” Wei said calmly and still smiling.
“Yeah, I guess nobody in the school is like you, always so reliable, though you never show this to other people, and they always think you are……”
“Acting like a fool?” Wei finished sentence for Kelly.
“Oh, I never meant that, I was just saying that the teachers and other students never understand the true you, and I believe it is their loss!” Kelly said and with her face turning red.
“Don’t worry Kelly, I know your real feelings, I don’t think there is another one in the school who is like you, who is standing by my side all the time, I am really appreciated for your comprehension, and I am really happy to have a friend like you by my side.” Wei said this with a wide smile.
“From now on, the school will no longer be helpful to you, and I do hope you can understand what I said today, and I wish you all good luck! Remember, the more people there are, the more power you will have! Wish you all will survive after this disaster, good luck everybody!” The headmaster said on a raft.
“But sir, my raft is still lack of one person!” Wei shouted.
“I’ve already checked the school, there is no one left in it, I think you can depart now.” The head teacher said.
“Roger that!”
“I think we can depart now.” Kelly said.
“Yeah, but we’ll just wait for another minute.”
“But the head teacher said there is no one left in the school.”
“Well, Lee will be here by any seconds. And I’m sure he’s still in the building.” Wei turned his head towards Kelly and said.
“Hey!! Wait for me!!!” just at this moment, Lee ran towards Wei and Kelly.
“See? Ok, let’s go now!” Wei said.
“Where have you been Lee?” Kelly just wanted to blame Lee’s late arrival.
“Hey, see what I have brought!” Lee ignored Kelly’s question and said.
“Wow, we definitely gonna need these!!!” Wei shouted with excitement.
“What are they??” Kelly forgot her anger and asked with interest.
“I have found a radio, some batteries for it, a knife, a big waterproof cloth and finally, 3 sleep bags.” Lee said with proud.
“How did you find those in such a short period of time! Unbelievable!” Kelly said with a sense of admire.
“I began to sneak out of the classroom since Wei said something about the tornado. You know he is always correct with things like that. What I do is looking for the things we will definitely need and hide them in my locker, and return to my seat to get the supplies, and then after everybody left the building, I get the things I hided before hand.”
“But how can you get them without notice? I mean, there are teachers and students everywhere, and I’m sure the school won’t let you have those if they see you, since it won’t be enough for every students to have those!”
“That’s why Wei spend those times to confuse the teacher and to give me the time to sneak out, and because of the time he provided, I got enough time to find those things. And use the time when the head master was doing the announcement caught everyone’s attention to get the things and hide them in my locker.”
“Ok, enough talking, we need to depart now, time is running short.” Wei said at last.



Chapter2.

Wei and Lee are really good at rowing the raft, the raft is going forward really quickly and steadily. Although they are rowing really fast, but there is still no sign of the other students.

“the road had blocked the river!”

They heard the noise and arrived at a house on the road and checking if there is any one left it in.
There was an old gentleman and an old lady with a few children in the house.

“We haven’t got enough food with us, the children are starving.” The old gentleman said.

Wei gave some of the food to the old gentleman, and asked: “Aren’t you going to leave here, the tornado is coming, and I do firmly believe that there will be more of them appearing in here soon.”
“We wanted to leave, but we haven’t got any transports, and the children are young, and we are old, we couldn’t go far without transport.” The old gentleman said sadly.
“We will try to help you out, you will have to leave here, we will need to do something within today.” Wei looked at the old man, Lee and Kelly and said.
